🇸🇰 Two UNESCO sites (& a castle) in one day! SLOVAKIA never disappoints 🤩

Hello folks, welcome back to this amazing Slovakian road trip. In this fourth installment I leave the beautiful town of Bojnice and make my way further east passing by lots of cool stuff along the way 🤩

The first stop is an amazing viewpoint that overlooks Bojnice. It was on the way out of town so I thought it would be rude not to stop, and I'm glad I did!
From there I headed to a crazy village called Čičmany, which is the first UNESCO site I visit on this day. I absolutely loved this little place and for reasons I'm sure you will agree once you see it 😍

From Čičmany I head to the next stop, Strečno. There's not much to see in Strečno, apart from a cracking castle upon a steep cliff surrounded by stunning landscapes!
After admiring the castle for a while I took myself to the next stop, which was the second UNESCO site of the day... Vlkolínec.

Vlkolínec is a remarkably intact settlement of 45 buildings with the traditional features of a central European village. It's the region’s most complete group of these kinds of traditional log houses, often found in mountainous areas such as this.
After leaving Vlkolínec I head to a little unknown village called Mengusovce which is where I spend the night, ready for the next days adventure 😁
