One of the accessible tests for diagnosing vestibular disorders is the caloric test. This test is one of the most frequently performed during a video nystagmography (VNG) panel. The method involves stimulating each labyrinth separately with hot and cold stimuli, using air or water as the medium to deliver this energy. In response to the stimulation, nystagmus occurs, and its parameters are used to assess labyrinth function. For the VNG test, the results are calculated automatically.
