I was not prepared for this unusual event, but here we go...
On Monday November 17th 2025 at 2:30PM around, an A series train (set 29) bound for Perth from Ellenbrook, derailed shortly after departing Bayswater station. The cause is unknown from what I know. However, where the A series derailed also held up the Airport and Midland lines at a choke point, leading to rail replacement buses serving all 3 Eastern lines being effective immediately. The train was then removed overnight and train services were back to normal with delays the following morning.
On this day, I was originally planning to film some train spotting at Bassendean station. Turns out, chaos was just around the corner, lol. :sob:
