Trapper Releases Fox Unharmed!

You don't always have to kill what you catch. This beautiful Red Fox was released back into the wild where it can live in harmony with nature. This video shows how it's done. The catch pole is to prevent me from being bitten and possibly contracting rabies. Fox are one of the biggest rabies carriers in Canada and it's best not to take any chances. This fox weighed about 11 pounds. He was not harmed lifting him off the ground like that to get him in the right direction for the cage. I lifted him like that so I could use my feet to open the trap, so his leg wouldn't get damaged by bending it over. He settled rather quickly in the cage and was given some food and water before his release.
