Nobelus® Sirius 110 by Komfi®

Nobelus is announcing the latest addition to our thermal laminator lineup: the Sirius 110 from Komfi®.

The Sirius 110 is a high-speed thermal laminating system specially designed for high-volume runs of B1 sheets, making it ideal for laminating folding cartons, rigid boxes, and book covers. This machine enables printers to produce metalized board stock in-house to reduce sourcing costs, lead times, and material waste.

Able to hold stacks of sheets up to 53 inches high, it features a high-pile pallet-in/pallet-out system. Operators can leave large stacks of sheets in the feeder for the laminator to process automatically; sheet overlap control, sheet separation, and other automated features ensure quality results for each laminated sheet.

The Sirius 110 has a high-capacity unwind shaft that accepts large film rolls up to 20,000 feet long depending on the thickness of the laminate. When laminate runs low, the unit’s auto-pilot feature alerts operators to support more seamless changeovers.

This large laminating system has a catwalk that runs across the length of the machine to give operators complete access to different parts of the unit for setup, maintenance, cleaning, and repairs. It features front-load and side-load accessibility with fold-up stairs to save space on the production floor or limit access to the machine as needed.

Optional features include a reinforced and extended film roll lift for faster and safer changeovers, an on-roll film slitter, an IR preheater, and anti-static options.
