I explored the Garden Park Fossil Area near Cañon City, Colorado, where some of the world’s most famous dinosaurs were first discovered. In this 3 mile hike, we visit the historic Marsh-Felch Dinosaur Quarry and the surrounding area. This quarry site is a legend in paleontology history; it’s where the first almost complete skeletons of Allosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Diplodocus, and Stegosaurus were found in the late 1800s by Marshall P. Felch in collaboration with Othniel C. Marsh during the "Bone Wars."
