Kunath Venu Madhav (28 September 1969 – 25 September 2019) was a beloved Indian actor, comedian, mimicry artist, and television presenter, best known for his prolific contributions to Telugu cinema. Born in Kodad, Suryapet district, Telangana, Venu Madhav began his career as a mimicry artist, captivating audiences with his ability to imitate celebrities, politicians, and local dialects. His breakthrough in films came with roles in Sampradayam (1996), Master (1997), and Tholi Prema (1998), establishing him as a comedic powerhouse in Tollywood. Over his career, he appeared in approximately 500 films, delivering memorable performances in movies like Dil (2003), Sye (2004), Lakshmi (2006), and Pokiri*. His unique Telangana slang, impeccable comic timing, and expressive antics made him a fan favorite. Venu Madhav also took on lead roles in films like *Hungama (2005) and Premabhishekam (2008) and hosted popular TV shows, including Once More Please with Udaya Bhanu. He won the Nandi Award for Best Male Comedian for Lakshmi and two CineMAA Awards for Dil and *Sye*. A lesser-known philanthropist, he supported struggling artists discreetly. Venu Madhav ventured into politics with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), briefly filing a nomination for the 2018 Kodad Assembly elections. Despite battling liver and kidney ailments, he remained resilient, debunking health rumors until his untimely death on 25 September 2019 at Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad, at age 50.
