✈️ Continuing my Finnair A320 Destination Challenge with flight AY1541 into Brussels (EBBR).
Overcast skies and a routine ILS RWY19 approach… until a sudden flock of birds appeared right before touchdown!
Luckily, no strike — but it could’ve been close. I continued the landing and touched down a bit firm at -295 ft/min, but safely on the centerline.
In real life, it depends on how close and large the bird group is — sometimes a go-around, sometimes a cautious continue.
