Lilia Nenescu’s activist work focusses on organisation and control of labor in a global economy. As a member of Moldova’s Advisory Council for Refugee’s Rights and the civic initiative Moldova for Peace, she co-coordinated a project aiming to provide employability support and defend the labor rights Ukrainian refugees.
Joining our Summer School “Feminist Economy and Social Justice – Redefining Paths”, Lilia explained how to her, feminist economy is one transcending the exploitative character of the sexual and international division of labor. Rejecting the idea of infinite growth it aims to create non-hierarchical, non-exploitative reciprocal and participatory relationship between different genders, geographies and social classes, as well as nature and people.
