We travelled by hovercraft from the Isle of Wight to Portsmouth and filmed the arrival, crossing, and harbour atmosphere using a DJI Air 3S. Thick coastal fog transformed the Solent into a quiet, cinematic scene, with the Spinnaker Tower slowly appearing as the hovercraft reached Portsmouth.
This video focuses on the mood of the moment — movement through fog, anticipation, and arrival — rather than speed or spectacle. A simple New Year’s Eve family trip, seen from above.
