The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings, with the threat of flooding, power cuts and serious travel disruption as Storm Bram batters the UK.

The storm, which will be Britain’s second named storm of the year after Amy hit in October, could bring hurricane-like winds to northwest Scotland.
Weather forecasters have said that homes and businesses will probably be damaged by floods or cut off by waterlogged roads and power cuts.
The Met Office advised people to create a “flood kit” with items such as a first aid kit, torch and waterproof clothes.
