Here's a summary of the cooking process:
• Prepare the Paneer: Cut paneer into large pieces and coat them with red chili (0:40-0:46). Fry the coated paneer pieces on low heat until they are lightly browned on both sides (0:49-1:31).
• Prepare the Gravy Base: In a separate pan, temper cumin seeds with other whole spices (1:48-1:51). Add chopped onions and cook them until they are slightly browned (1:55-2:02). Then, add tomato paste (2:12-2:18).
• Add Spices and Cook: Incorporate chili powder, turmeric powder, and ginger paste into the mixture (2:25-2:31). Add the ground whole spices that were prepared earlier (2:34-2:42). Cover and cook the spices until they are well combined and the oil starts to separate (2:45-2:51).
• Incorporate Yogurt: Add a paste of yogurt to the cooked spices and mix thoroughly (2:53-3:04). Continue to cook on low heat until the oil fully separates and the gravy thickens (3:07-3:33).
• Combine Paneer and Gravy: Add the fried paneer pieces to the prepared gravy and mix well (3:36-3:47). Let the paneer and gravy simmer on low heat for a short period to allow the flavors to meld (3:51-4:00).
• Garnish and Serve: Garnish the dish with fresh coriander leaves for enhanced flavor (4:02-4:08). The Lahori Paneer is now ready to be served and enjoyed with your choice of bread and salad (4:12-4:39).
