Reiko's Growth Spurt Overload! - Ch 6

Reiko is approached by her bully, Hime, who reminds her of her debt… Natsumi interferes but gets hurt while trying to help Reiko…

OnaniNapkin’s Ramblings:
Natsumi’s personality really shines here, she cares so much about Reiko by paying her debts for her and is just so kind and protective. I see her as a very motherly character for Reiko lol. Reiko and Natsumi are opposites in this way, Reiko is selfish but Natsumi is selfless. Reiko will lie, cheat and steal to get what she wants but Natsumi doesn’t want anything for herself in the first place and wants to help the people around her. So I think here, Reiko was given a choice, either stop growing and be with Natsumi or betray her and keep growing. For the sake of the plot, and also because of Reiko’s ambitiousness, she keeps growing. Actually throughout the story, I’ve realised she has so many chances to do right but over and over she does the wrong thing which will explain the climax. But she would have probably still been happy staying by Natsumi’s side.

Oh and well Hime is just the antagonist for one chapter, focusing on a money related issue. Sometimes the antagonist doesn’t have any other purpose than to add fuel to Reiko’s hatred for everyone around her lolllll. Oh and to let Natsumi help Reiko against the antagonist.

Ynow, I realized it was quite uncharacteristic for Reiko to slap Hime there lol. She’d usually be more thoughtful about her actions but I suppose she wanted to get back at Hime for hurting Natsumi which only strengthens their relationship.
