I was always fascinated by Arnold Schwarzenegger growing up. I knew him as a muscly actor, turned politician.
As I grew up and began going to the gym myself, I found myself drawn to his story (as well as many other bodybuilders'.) Specifically, how he could achieve success in so many different domains with comparative ease.
Little to my surprise, it turns out that Arnold is a big believer in the power of the mind. As a tool to motivate oneself, to compete against others, and as a weapon in and of itself.
This is what drew me to make this video. I wanted to tell a different story about Arnold, through his relationship with Lou Ferrigno. Two fantastic bodybuilding actors (or acting bodybuilders?) Both with fantastic genetics. Both from the same era. One always beating the other.
Although friends, Arnold's calculated use of 'psychological warfare' is quite apparent when looking at the dynamic between the two.
