Solo flawless completion of the Grandmaster Vanguard Alert Birthplace of the Vile with Orpheus Rig & Le Monarque on Void Hunter in Destiny 2, Regenades - Solo Flawless Grandmaster Vanguard Alert - Solo Grandmaster - Solo GM - Solo Ultimate - Orpheus Rig - Le Monarque - Refurbished A499 - How to Complete Grandmaster Vanguard Alert Birthplace of the Vile Guide - How to Get a Sarpedon - Orpheus Rig Void Hunter Build - Destiny 2 Renegades.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
Right, the 4th GM Vanguard Alert is up and my thoughts have not changed:
1) GM Vanguard Alerts need to be farmable like the GMs of old. Now we get just one guaranteed "adept" (unique origin trait weapon) per week. It is not farmable, you only have a very low chance to get "adepts" (or shinies like they are called nowadays), which absolutely destroys any reason for doing this activity more than once. I personally have not got a single shiny drop outside of the first clear of the week. It needs to give the guaranteed weapons with the unique origin trait every run.
2) Rotating daily modifiers need to go. If the intention is to really bring back the GMs of old, they need to have set in stone GM modifiers. No need for any brawlers, grenadiers, full throttle etc. shenanigans. Just leave those modifiers for strikes playlist etc.
3) We need a baseline difficulty. -50 is not it, it just makes everything super spongy for no reason and build variety suffers a lot due to that. We are forced to wait for some cheesy modifiers that make those super easy, and I do not believe this is the way to go. GM difficulty is supposed to be -40, and without rotating modifiers it would be perfect. Bungie claimed multiple times that this is equivalent to the old -25 GM difficulty pre-Edge of Fate. -50 was a disaster in Mythic Kelper. Why is it accepted in GM Vanguard Alerts all of a sudden?
Anyhow, this is the run on a Void Hunter. I just saw that we have void shields on raiders, and I thought why not use Void Hunter with Orpheus Rig. Moebius Quiver was buffed and combined with Orpheus Rig it offers some great damage potential. It also buffs bows while it is active. My exotic weapon of choice is Le Monarque, it is a bow, it does void damage and it is just great! However, bows are not doing enough damage now at all. All in all, it is a very fun build to use in any kind of content.
As for my other weapons, I have Mint Retrograde rocket pulse rifle to burst down some bigger targets. Lastly, I have Renegade's staple - Refurbished A499, perhaps the weapon of the season.
Build can be seen at the start of the video.
