Beginner’s Guide to Painting Bold Snapdragons in Watercolor

These are so vibrant and beautiful with the Paul Rubens MieLiang paints~ I used wet in wet for the flower buds and added the green stems while the flowers were still wet to get that beautiful blend, use a few different values of your pigments, to create interest and depth. (darker value = less water more paint/lighter value = more water less paint )

📜On PAPER, I’ve used Meeden and Artisto for many years, and you’ll see me use one or the other in most of my tutorials. My Meeden paper suggestion is 100% cotton, has a really great texture and is finer grade. My Artisto paper recommendation is student grade, handles lots of water, (still good for wet on wet) and is a bit less expensive.
