A quick overview of the Thule Tram 9033 carrier for skis and snowboards. This is an attachment carrier that requires a trailer hitch mount bike rack or vehicle rear mount spare tire bike rack. Thule Tram attaches to hitch bike racks by placing the 9033 Tram upper mounting bars on the bike cradles located on the two cradle arms extending out from the bike rack. Cradle straps then cinch the Tram in place, same as strap tightening bicycles to the cradles. The Thule Tram ski-snowboard carrier also includes a lower bracket assemby for attaching the Tram to the trailer hitch bike rack upright post. Similarly the 9033 connects to the bike cradles on the extended out bicycle cradle arms on bike racks that mount to vehicles with rear spare tires. Tram ski rack tightens in place using the cradle straps (same as on bikes racks for trailer hitches). The 9033 Tram also includes spare tire specific lower bracket assemby that attaches to where the bike rack installs on the rear spare wheel. The 9033 ski-snowboard carrier fits virtually all Thule spare tire bike racks and upright style hitch bike racks with bike cradles and straps extension arms. Conveniently accommodates 6 pairs of skis / 4 snowboards, and you can combine carrying skis and snowboards at the same time. Includes locks and keys.
