Hello, and welcome back! 😊
It’s been a month since my last vlog, and life has been busy here in my small town in Northern Italy. Between everyday tasks and the start of some long-awaited home renovations, the days have flown by. In this episode, I share a glimpse of both my balcony vegetable garden and the first steps in my kitchen makeover.
The summer harvest is still going strong: lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, and even a small surprise grape harvest from the other balcony. Just for fun, I sowed some carrots too, and even those gave me a little joy. Despite the challenge of stink bugs on the tomatoes, neem oil and a bit of patience helped me save most of the crop. These small victories make balcony gardening so rewarding!
At the same time, I’ve begun a new chapter indoors: renovating my 1960s kitchen. With no experience, I’m learning how to level the floor with self-leveling compound. It’s a bit intimidating, but also a chance to learn new skills and give new life to my home.
As summer comes to a close, nature slowly prepares for autumn. With every walk, I’m reminded of the quiet beauty of seasonal change—an inspiring rhythm that shapes both garden and life.
Join me in this vlog where slow living, simple gardening, and a fresh new beginning come together.
Thank you for watching,
Rudy
