Best VIETNAMESE Noodles (Sorry no Phở) Of 2020 | Vietnamese Street Food

Today is all about noodles. Hope you like some of my favorites from this year!

1.Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang Nhân Quán - Had a local show me this place when I first moved to Saigon and now it has become a regular stop for me.

2.Bún thịt nướng - Nguyễn Trung Trực Probably the most famous and delicious Bun Thit Nuong in Saigon. The fried spring roll and delicious meat always keeps me coming back.

3.Bánh canh cua Hoàng Lan - I dont usually eat banh canh cua, but when I do crave it I come here. Not too sweet and a soft, melt in your mouth pork knuckle make this a win, win for me.

4. BÚN BÒ HUẾ XƯƠNG BÒ- Yeah, not the best broth, but the meat here is unbeatable.

5. Bún ốc Giang phố cổ- A must eat whenever I go to Hanoi. Probably the most well known snail noodle in Hanoi, but well known for a good reason.

6.Bún ziu gánh - cô Yến - Now, for another noodle which I have never had the Bún Gánh. Loaded with about every ingredient you could imagine. I went thap cam and made one minor change as I wanted the banh da noodles. A very popular flat noodle in Hanoi. What resembled so many bowls of noodles I have eaten before, yet so different, this is such a fun bowl of noodles to eat as the toppings are insane.

7. Quán Phở Miến Gà Phương- The last noodle for today and not even where I meant to eat, but where the food gods wanted me to eat my last bowl of noodles this day. Wanting to switch it up I went for the mien ga. After my first bite, I realized why this place has been open 28 years and pulling in the big time crowds. A flavor packed chicken broth, delicious ginger dipping sauce, and a soft, oh so soft, blood cake.

8. Gà Tần Bà Dậu- Something a little different, a medicinal chicken dish that isn’t for everybody. I found the medicinal taste and bitterness to be a little overwhelming for myself. If you want to go a different route, try some of the other bowls of noodles they have filled with offal, egg noodles, and an intensely flavored broth.

9. Hủ tiếu Mỹ Tho- After the market, I headed right outside to eat some famous Hu tieu. This place has been open for more than 60 years and after eating a bowl of this hu tieu, I quickly realized why. A little different from all the Hu tieu nam vang I am used to seeing in Saigon. The broth is a little lighter, but that is until you get a huge bone filled with bone marrow butter. About as decadent as it comes and worth a stop in the city just to try this iconic bowl of noodles.
