See the highlights of our Cusco visit - In this video you will see San Pedro Market, San Blas, San Blas market, Saksaywaman, Plaza de Armas. Because of the travel restrictions and the Covid virus, there was a lot less tourists and a lot of local tourists mostly for Lima Peru. We stayed at an Airbnb in Oct 2021 and the owner was telling us that most had not been vaccinated. He was actually getting his first vaccine that week. We had to wear a mast indoor and outdoors at all time. In trains and public transport, a face shield was required. Personally, in two weeks I never got use to the altitude, I was always out of breath as you seem to have to climb everywhere you go. Cusco sits at the bottom of a valley, you are surrounded by mountains which gives a wonderful feeling at night, you feel as if you were in the middle of a Christmas village as you are surrounded by lights in the far away mountains. As a side note, even though we have not tried a whole lot of restaurants, our favorite was Organika, great music as well and you can find their playlist on Spotify under Organica 2021 Organica and Organica 2.0.
