A Slow Lunch Delivery Shift in Las Vegas… 4 Orders, 33 Miles

In this video, I break down a slow lunch delivery shift in Las Vegas that covered a lot of miles but only produced four total orders.

This was a lunch shift only, running about 3.5 hours, covering roughly 33 miles, and completed entirely by car, working a zone on the east side of Las Vegas near the Strip.

The shift started with a Grubhub shop-and-pay order, just a few items going a short distance. From there, I worked closer toward the Strip and picked up a Chick-fil-A order delivering to a nearby business park.

Later in the shift, I accepted a small catering-style DoorDash order that took me across the Strip, pulling me farther away from my usual zone. After completing that drop-off, I worked my way back toward the west side and picked up one final DoorDash order going south, past the airport, which ended the lunch shift.

By the end of the shift, the totals came out to:
• 1 Grubhub order for about $11
• 3 DoorDash orders totaling about $36
• $48 and change total for the lunch shift

This wasn’t a high-volume lunch — just a realistic look at how slow weekday lunches near the Strip can stretch miles without much order flow.
