1. Removing the mirror glass
Carefully remove the mirror glass, typically by gently prying it out from the bottom where it snaps in, noting the two hooks at the top.
Disconnect any wires connected to the mirror, such as for heating elements.
2. Accessing the cover
Depending on the specific method, you may need to remove four or five screws that hold the mirror assembly together.
Use pry tools to carefully separate the mirror housing pieces.
Pop off the old mirror cover, which is held in place by plastic tabs.
3. Installing the new cover
Align the new mirror cover with the back of the side mirror.
Gently press the cover into place, making sure the clips engage securely.
Reattach the mirror glass (if removed) and reconnect any wires
