In November 2019 we filmed the Glen Burnie High School Varsity Girls Basketball team as they were getting ready for the 2019 - 2020 season. With the footage we accumulated from practice, we were able to create this video that highlights their hard work, preparation, and unity.
Coach Jonathan Mason, who is entering his second year as head coach, is intent on improving upon the results of last year and has this team ready and focused. The expectation is that Glen Burnie bests last years record, becomes more competitive within a county loaded with talent, and shows growth in both skill and their understanding of the game.
The team has put forth a lot of effort thus far. They have come together to learn the system and are planning to give the rest of Anne Arundel County a run for their money. The team is ready to play.
At the time this post was written, the team's record was over .500 at 6 -5. They are proving they aren't a team to take lightly. We wish them the best with the rest of the season, hope they are able to see continued success and hope they are able to look back fondly on their playing careers at GBHS.
While this may not be a typical hype video, we feel this was the right video. It is a collection of shots that capture the effort, focus, and determination of the team. #DigIn #GBAthletics #ShouldHaveBeenAGopher
