The Pride of the Southland Marching Band waits for a decision to be made by the Southern Eastern Conference as to whether or not to go forward with the Tennessee vs. Florida game in Gainesville after the September 11 terrorist attacks. Dr. Gary Sousa then announces the decision to the band. As a result, the game was bumped to December 1, 2001 and the Vols would go on to beat Florida in the swamp for the first time 30 years!
