TOOL PREP FOR WINTER - CHIPPED AXE HANDLE REPAIR - TOOL MAINTENANCE - BUSHCRAFT SURVIVAL PREPPING

Tool maintenance is what keeps our tools in proper working order, so they will perform the tasks for which we rely on them. This is even more important when it comes to tools with which we trust our survival and ultimately, our lives. The tools that we keep in our emergency preparedness kits, emergency response kits, I.e. go bag, bug out bag, survival bag, etc, are all meant for this exact purpose.

The knife, axe or hatchet, and often times even the shovel, are some of the main components to our kits. Anyone who practices Bushcraft, tool building, shelter craft, fire craft, and the like, knows the importance of these tools, and the importance of keeping them up and running.

In this video Kyoshi Dave Herman of Five Elements Tactical Training, shows some basic maintenance, and basic repair, of wood handle metal edged tools. The Council Tool Camp Carver Axe, and the Cold Steel Spetsnaz Tactical Camp Shovel are featured as the tools being maintained.
