4710W Unboxing, Setup & Testing Procedures:
To begin setting up the Quiet & Lightweight California Air Tools 1510 Air Compressor, remove outer packaging. Set Owners Manual and air filter to one side. Remove compressor from box by grasping compressor handle and lift straight up.
To install the 1.0 Hp Air Filter, remove plastic motor plug insert from air inlet port and dispose. Install 1.0 Hp Air filter by screwing into motor/pump air inlet port. Turning clockwise, gently hand-tighten only.
Install 4” Air Filter (8mm) tube into the port hole on side of filter – press in to secure.
NOTE: orientation of the tube does not matter. The tube will help keep particulates like sawdust or paint spray from being ingested into the motor.
Next, connect the air compressor to a 110 volt 60hz power source. A standard 15 Amp breaker circuit is suggested.
Press the Power Switch to Turn ON the compressor. Air will begin to fill tank as indicated on the Main Tank Pressure Gauge. Working Pressure is 105-135 PSI
Motor should deactivate and shutoff at approximately 130 PSI (± 5 PSI)
To test pressure safety relief valve, turn OFF the compressor and pull on Safety Valve Ring to release air from tank - this is for initial test purposes only.
Turn On air compressor once again until compressor reaches maximum pressure and shuts off, then Open Manual Ball Drain Valve to release air. This is the Normal Method to remove air from tank.
When tank pressure gauge reads zero (0)….close the Manual Ball Drain Valve by turning at a 90 degree angle.
The compressor is now ready for use. For example, you may connect to equipment tooling or an Air Hose Kit (i.e. CAT-376 air hose kit)
Turn ON the compressor.
Working Pressure is 105-135 PSI.
Turn regulator knob Counter-Clockwise to reduce output air pressure.
----
CAUTION: Do not allow motor/pump to run continuously for more than 30 minutes at a time (45 minutes maximum) or motor/pump damage could occur.
