This engine does NOT use ODBII instead it has a 3-pin (2-wire) diagnostic connector in the inner wing.

HOWEVER I have also had some limited success reading DTC codes with the LAUNCH CReader VIII and clearing them with cheaper OBDII devices from ebay.
There are 2 videos on this, one covers the CReader VIII/123 being used to read the codes and the other (this one) clearing the fault code only using a much cheaper (less than £15) ODBII reader.
PARTS USED:
1) FIAT 3-Pin to ODB2 Adapter purchased from ebay for £4
Described on eBay as: " 3 Pin to 16 Pin OBD2 Adapter Connector Diagnostic Cable for Fiat Alfa Lancia "
2) Modified ELM 327 (specifically for FIAT/Alfa/Lancia) supplied by Ebay seller UK-Diagnostics for £16.95
When connecting you 3-Pin to ODB2 adapter you do NOT need to connect the negative lead.
