In this video we will be building a circuit board compatible with Race Coordinator.
Minimum requirements:
Arduino Nano with male headers,
Strip board,
Wires,
1x 4n35 optocouplers for each lane,
1x 10k and 220 ohm resistors for each lane.
Optional requirements:
Terminals,
1x 6 pin Din sockets for each optocoupler,
Female headers,
LEDs on each dead strip optocouplers,
1x 10uF electrolytic capacitor for each lane (not required for RC),
LEDs for gantry,
Switch for yellow flags.
Tools:
Soldering Iron,
Solder,
Flux,
Stanley knife or Junior hacksaw,
Set of small files or small drill bit (only if components don't fit on your board holes pitch),
4-5mm drill bit or splitting tool,
Wire strippers,
Wire cutters.
