The game features a "Divine Draw" a mechanic that introduces special rules at the start of each match, adding variety to the MOBA style gameplay. The game was originally known as "Dragon Ball Project: Multi" but was later changed by Bandi Namco to Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra.
