This Velosolex 2 Stroke Engine needs more than the classic tender loving care. It needs a complete rebuild from the basis in order to start smoking again as it used to. The engine doesn’t turn anymore! Either because of a blocked piston caused by a failed oil film, or failure of the piston circlip due to wrong installation, or just corrosion that welded the moving parts together with the static parts. Even a total failure of the crank drive is an option. There are many more causes that could lead to a blocked engine. This after all makes the whole rebuild interesting and worth it, at least for me.
