167 RHODES PRASSONISI (24-7-2025)

Another year in Rhodes, and once again Prassonisi delivered! I checked the forecast for the next few days and it looked absolutely epic—four days of non-stop wind. I grabbed the next flight from Pafos to Rhodes with the whole family and all my gear. We stayed one night in Rhodes and then headed straight to Genadi Resort so we’d be close to Prassonisi.
After checking in at the hotel and grabbing lunch, we drove down to Prasso right away. I met up with local legend Mike Panagos to kick off the first session. I’ve known Mike for years, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him on a 3.7 sail—so that was a bit surreal!
Conditions were perfect for a warm-up: 25 knots with 1.5-meter waves. We caught some fun ones together and the session felt amazing. The highlight of the day was the golden hour at sunset—glassier waves, more manageable wind, and fewer people in the water. I stayed out until it was nearly dark.
