Aabya's talk focuses on the controversial industry of animal testing. She hopes that animal testing might eventually be made redundant through developments in science and technology. Aabya is from Pakistan but has never lived there, she has mostly lived in arab countries! Aabya’s first language is English but she speaks Urdu and is trying to learn Turkish as she currently lives in Istanbul. She is scared of most animals but feels that the way they are being treated is cruel and unfair. She knows that some parts of animal testing ( like scientific research) are very controversial but she wants to explain & show that it is horrible that people are doing things like this to cute innocent animals. She is also explaining the extent to which animal testing has been taken. She talks about how animals feel fear and the substitutes for Animal testing This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
