Diagnosis Day (& the events that led up to it)

In early October 2021, my husband and I were intimate and he felt a lump in my right breast. I felt the lump and noticed that it was fixed and non-tender (which I knew from my dental education was not good). I contacted my PCP and told him about the lump and asked if he would send me for a mammogram.
On Oct 29, 2021, I got a mammogram and ultrasound. The radiologist found the lump and showed me on the ultrasound. She said it is likely a fibroadenoma which she sees all the time in young women my age but the edges of the lump were a little fuzzy so she wanted to do a biopsy to be on the safe side.
On Nov 5, 2021, I got the breast biopsy done.
On Nov 9, 2021, I was diagnosed with breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma).
In the phone call which I learned of my diagnosis, I was informed that my next steps were to go see a breast surgeon who will let me know what my treatment options would be.
