Downwind Foiling a small Lake? Works better then expected!

I've assumed that this would not be possible, but the 05.02.2024 proved me wrong when a storm came over Germany and provided us with 19 to 38 knots of wind during the day, creating enough wind swell to downwind after as little as 1,5 km of fetch(distance, the wind has to push the water), enabling us to be around 5 km on foil. This opens up so many different lakes around the globe, as there are a bunch of places that have well above 1,5km of fetch, and storms come over every now and then. That being sad, I cant wait to go for the next small lake downwinder when the wind is strong enough again! Super fun experience to be way faster than the waves for once and I think specially for beginners these kind of conditions are really great!
