I have been fitting electric trolling motors to kayaks for the last few years and have practically rigged every conceivable option from central scupper, to side, to stern mounted systems...With the arrival of our Bixpy rudder adapter mount recently it was straight to the workshop to fit the Bixpy Jet to our Viking Kayaks Reload and we have been jumping at any opportunity to get to the water to test it out - First impressions are great with innovative simplicity of design and ease of use being the key features that stand out - The Jet which is only the size and weight of a one litre bottle of water was super easy to mount and operate without having to drill a single hole in the kayak - The 6.8 lb slimline floating Lithium-ion battery offered plenty of water time and was a pleasure to handle compared to the conventional deep cycle lead acid versions - The wrist remote with it's 10 forward and 3 reverse speeds proved to be very user friendly doing away with unnecessary throttle handles and wires cluttering the deck - Initial trials are certainly very positive and yielded plenty of fish catches :-) I'm looking forward to more Bixpy water sessions - Hope you enjoy the video :-)
