Our week in Bonaire, July 2022

Joel and I just got back from a weeklong trip to the island of Bonaire. Bonaire is a small island about 50 miles north of the coast of Venezuela; it’s part of the Dutch Caribbean ABC islands which is Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. Bonaire is most well-known as one of the worlds best shore diving destinations. Literally, you buy a guide book (I will link the one I used below), make a plan, drive to the site of a yellow rock and dive or snorkel to your hearts content. We stayed here for a week in the end of July 2022 in a dive resort called Captain Don’s Habitat. This is one of many resorts on the island that caters to divers we had a package that included 7 nights, one night free, complimentary breakfast, a truck rental, unlimited Nitrox tanks and 10 boat dives. We came mainly for the diving but had plenty of time to explore the island. I can’t wait for our next trip still so much to see and do.
