I am a member of Indie Choir, run at Trinity Bar in Harrow on Thursdays normally, we (like many other choirs) have been forces in the world of the high latency world of video conferencing making singing together a difficult endeavour.

As the next best thing, and as a present for Kirsten's 50th Birthday, 12 people provided videos of themselves recording one of the hardest songs to sing together live and sent me their videos to mix together.

Here is the first broadcast draft, a test if you will, to see how it performs on YouTube, subsequently I made changes and will upload the improved one later. (Increased font size of lyrics and smoother title sequences)

I will post the final version later but in the interim, please enjoy this video to virtually be part of a choir, sing along like you are there with us!

The 'Mondegreen Kings' as I call them , have produced some beautiful lyrical pieces that have been misheard more than most throughout their career.

'The Finality Of This Celestial Body Is Clearly Upon Us (But I'm Positively Chipper)' or 'AAAAaargh!!!! There's An Apocalypse Imminent (But I'm Non-Plus Mood About It)' written and orchestrated by those fabulous fellows 'Rabid Elephant Movements' (or apparently 'Rapid Eye Movement')

Please watch this interpretation of one of their songs delivered with such style and grace, with a determination to produce every syllable, every intonation, reaching the OOoooohhie bit in the middle!!!!

Considering these people sat on their own (well, as two people in a couple of videos) and listened to a track of the same BPM and vocals, when brought together you can see why they like being in this choir. I love it...

Many thanks for all the contributions and assistance given. This was my first attempt at using DaVinci Resolve (don't think it will be my last!), I think I need a better GPU to use it but have learned a lot through the process (like the first thing to do, resize the videos to size using an alpha layer to reduce the resources being utilised.

I hope we can get together soon to celebrate all these birthdays forced in isolation.

Sincerest thank you to Brett Lake-Benson for keeping us social singers sane for the past 9 months! You are truly a legend in your own right!
