Gosanimari Rajpat of Gosanimari is one of the famous historical places and tourist places of Cooch Behar. Gosanimari Rajpat is an archaeological site in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal. Gosanimari Rajpat is the ruins of ancient royal palace of Kamtapur which was the capital of kamta kingdom. Gosanimari Rajpat was ruled by the Khens. Khen dynasty was founded by Niladhwaj khen in 1440 AD. The last king of Gosanimari Khen Dynasty was Nilambar who was defeated by Alauddin Hussain Shah in 1498. Two seasons of excavation in Gosanimari Rajpat by archaeological survey of india has revealed massive brick built walls, two brick lined huge wells, ruins of a small stone structure, two brick built parallel wall etc. Important antiquities from excavation in Gosanimari Rajpat mound include terracotta animal and human figurines, plaques, balls, silver sultanate coins, silver and copper coin of east india company and a good number of stone sculptural fragments. There is also a historical temple, named Kamteswari temple in Gosanimari. Kamteswari temple is almost 2.5 km from Gosanimari Rajpat mound. The temple was built by Pran Narayan, the coach king of Cooch Behar in 1665.
