I Fixed This Oven Clean Fail

Poorly cleaned ovens are common when using oven cleaner spray. In this first video of my ‘Is It Clean’ series I fix an oven that wasn’t cleaned properly.

When cleaning there is a simple rule to follow – if it doesn’t look clean, IT IS NOT CLEAN! This oven still had a lot of oven cleaner residue inside and on the racks, the tray wasn’t clean, the glass on the oven door was average and the front of the oven looked pretty ratty.

Paying attention to the finer details for a pre-sale clean, or move out clean, gives the impression that your house has been very well looked after – even if it hasn’t been!

The products I used to fix this oven were:

A squirt of dishwashing liquid in a spray with water. This one is a personal favourite – Dish Power from OzKleen. It’s good stuff and totally Aussie! – https://www.ozkleen.com).

A couple of microfibre cloths.

Thick steel wool and a scraper for the racks and trays.

Some Jif and a non-scratch scourer for the door glass.

And a drying cloth.

And, for those who don’t know, a bond clean is also called – exit clean, move out clean, end of lease clean, tenant clean or vacate clean – and involves a Deep Clean of absolutely everything in a house.
