4000 POINT 40K! Blood Angels and Ultramarines vs Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Daemons Battle Report

What a way to welcome the new studio Blood Angels army! 4000 points of Chaos vs Imperium, a homage to Space Marine 2's finale, we pit the Chaos Daemons and Chaos Space Marine legions against the unbreakable wall of the Ultramarines, with a LOT of jump pack Blood Angels ready to pounce, rip, tear and hopefully not give into the red rage!

It's been a while since we've recorded a big dumb game - and with some Primaris armoured reinforcements clad in red, we thought now was the time. A horde of greater daemons clamour through the ruined city hungry for Space Marine blood, with an elite force of Chaos Space Marines taking to the field in support. We've got Rottigus, we've got a Great Unclean One, we've got Tzeench, Nurgle, Khorne and Slaanesh of all shapes and sizes all rushing up the field. On the CSM side Vashtorr the Arkifane leads a Daemon Engine skew list with a lot of Terminator punch.

For the Emperor we thought the mighty Astreus tank needed a run out, as well as all the other Ultramarine bits we don't normally get to run! Thunder Hammer Terminators, a Firestrike Turret (yeah..), Guilliman and Marneus Calgar hold the trenches, while the Chief Librarian Mephiston leads up a sea of jump pack intercessors, Lemartes and Astorath with the Death Company marines, Land Raiders packed with Blade Guard Veterans... Oh it's going to be fun.
