Apple Puzzle Lu Ban Lock

Is it an apple? Yes, but that's only partly correct—it's also a puzzle. The design is inspired by a traditional Chinese puzzle called the Luban lock. Lu Ban was a famous carpenter in ancient China who created many fascinating wooden items. This puzzle consists of just 12 pieces, but it's the most challenging one I've ever encountered.
