"Còn Tuổi Nào Cho Em" (What Youth Is Left For You) is one of the most famous and profound songs by musician Trịnh Công Sơn, composed in 1964 in B'lao (Bảo Lộc). The song is closely tied to his deep, persistent love for Dao Ánh, the younger sister of singer Bích Diễm.
When composing it, Trịnh Công Sơn was only 25 but already carried heavy philosophical concerns about the impermanence of life and love. He worried about the age gap, the future, and unavoidable sorrows, expressed through the poignant lines: "Which age do you ask for. What age remains for us..."
The song is a confession, a cherishing, a wish for his lover to forever maintain her innocence and purity, staying away from the troubles of life. The song has become one of Trịnh Công Sơn's most beloved love ballads
