Gorilla Kala With Her Baby Boy Hasani

It's lunchtime at Bristol zoo and Kera is sitting there eating with Hasani who is behind her. Kera is the surrogate mum of Hasani. Kera walks off with Hasani walking behind her.
Kala his birth mother is sitting by the hut. Both the mothers are sharing the babysitting duties. Kala moves when Kera comes close. Kera waits for Hasani but when she moves on Hasani has a look around at his mother. The next thing I see is that Hasani is holding on to his mum's back. They move behind all the greenery and then I see the two again when they are up on the climbing frame. Kala walks along the top and then sits down. Hasani is still holding on to mum's back, but when mum moves Hasani climbs around to the front. He seems looks like he's not sure of the heights, but as you will see he's quite a confident climber. He tries to climb onto mum again, but Kala doesn't seem to want him on his back anymore. Little Hasani found the rope and starts climbing down it. Kala climbs beside him and seems to watch and hold the rope for her son. Having filmed Hasani and Afia for such a long time, the book really hit home. A good read, sad in places, but honest.
