It was one of those days with absolutely perfect weather in the UAE. I headed out hoping for some action and managed to hook into this Golden Trevally.
Don't let the size fool you—Golden Trevally are pound-for-pound some of the strongest fighters on the flats. Even a smaller one like this will put a serious bend in an 8-weight rod!
It took my custom "Mantis Shrimp" fly, which continues to prove deadly for Dubai species.
