Our Road To Essence: Atlanta, we welcomed special guests Kwajelyn Jackson, Ray Young, Shamea Morton, and David Banner to the stage for a conversation— At The Intersection of Black Joy and Justice: A Conversation on What It Takes to Cultivate the Necessary Culture Shift for Black Liberation.

The 2025 ESSENCE Festival of Culture is THE event of the summer, bringing global leaders, organizers, and culture shifters together in New Orleans for 4th of July weekend. Before we head to NOLA, Global Black Economic Forum and SisterSong will hit the road, coming to YOU to strategize, organize and center ourselves in our collective Liberation!

This four-city tour is hosted by SisterSong and the Global Black Economic Forum. SisterSong is a national Reproductive Justice organization engaged in movement building and shifting culture for the culture. Alongside the Global Black Economic Forum, which focuses on economic justice and inclusion for Black and marginalized communities, both organizations advocate for systemic change to improve the lives of marginalized communities.
