British J70 tram engine from the Great Eastern Railway (GER Class C53) on the HO-Scale DCC Randall Museum Model Railroad.
This is J70, a tram engine from the Great Eastern Railway (GER Class C53).
J70s were used for light duties, such as branch line work and dock shunting.
These 0-6-0T steam engines were built between 1903 and 1921.
The cowcatchers and sideplates allow the J70 to run on roadside tramways safely.
Toby in "Thomas the Tank Engine" is based on J70 #68221, built in 1914.
