FABs and boobies are deadly winter options on lochs and lakes everywhere, but unfortunately some waters ban them due to deep hooking issues caused by negligent fishing. This pattern is a workaround that still allows you to fish a buoyant fly near the bottom and if you make sure you fish responsibly and keep in touch with it you'll not suffer deep hooked fish.
