Pal Park: The WORST Way to Transfer Pokémon

Transferring Pokémon from generation 3 to generation 4 was a NIGHTMARE!

It was a massive achievement for generation 4 that it was able to transfer Pokémon from generation 3 as it gave the series a level of continuity and compatibility that few games have ever achieved.

The way in which Pokémon were transferred from gen 3 to gen 4 was a little... complicated. They didn't just simply put the Pokémon from one game to another, they tried to turn it into this whole piece of side content and it just didn't work too well.
