“Bedu Pako Baramasa” is Uttarakhand’s most celebrated folk song — a joyful reflection of nature, seasons, and the vibrant spirit of the mountains.
Meaning “the fig ripens all year,” the song is a poetic reminder of abundance and harmony in Garhwal’s everyday life.
From blooming forests to changing seasons, from gentle winds to festive village rhythms, this beloved melody has become the cultural anthem of the region, connecting generations through its simplicity and beauty.
Performed by the students of CKS Foundation (Chandranagar Centre) at our 15th Annual Function (2nd November 2025), this rendition honours the living heritage of Uttarakhand and celebrates the young voices keeping its traditions alive.
