ගුවන්විදුලියේ ගීත රචනා බැංකුවට එවන ලද රචනාවක් ඇසුරෙන් නිර්මිත ගීතයකි. මෙහි තනුව නිර්මාණය සඳහා තිලංග, චාරුකේෂි හා කානඩා රාගයන් හි අංග යොදාගෙන තිබේ. මීට ආසන්න කාලයක දී මේ පද රචනාව ම අමරා රණතුංග මහත්මිය විසින් වෙනත් තනුවකට ගායනා කොට තිබේ. ඉන්පසුව මෙම ගීතය 80 දශකයේ නිකුත් වූ 'දේව මන්දිරේ' කැසට් පටයට ඉන්ද්රානි බෝගොඩ මහත්මිය විසින් නැවත ගායනා කළා ය.

This song was selected from the Lyrics Bank of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation in the 1970s. Its melody is based on the ragas Tilang, Charukeshi, and Kanada. In the meantime, the song was recorded with a different tune by Mrs. Amara Ranathunge. In the 1980s, Mrs. Indrani Bodoga re-recorded the song for the album Dewa Mandire.
This is the first recording of the song by Mrs Indrani Bogoda.
